Recognizing SaskCulture Inc. & Saskatchewan Lotteries
The grant you receive from SaskCulture Inc. is provided thanks to support from the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and Recreation. This Trust Fund receives its funding from the proceeds of lottery ticket sales, such as Lotto Max, Lotto 649, Western 649. Sport Select and Scratch 'n Win, sold at lottery kiosks in communities throughout Saskatchewan. Funds raised support over 12,000 sport, culture and recreation groups in Saskatchewan.
Groups receiving funding are required to help promote awareness of SaskCulture's work to build a culturally vibrant Saskatchewan through fund distribution and organizational development.
FUNDING RECIPIENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ....
USE LOGOS IN ALL PROMOTION
Placement of SaskCulture and the Saskatchewan Lotteries logos on all print and electronic promotions is the best way to ensure your organization is correctly recognizing its funder.
USE SIGNAGE AT EVENTS
Placing visible signage, such as a poster, paper banner, or standing display, which showcases that SaskCulture/Saskatchewan Lotteries supports your events/activities helps promote the importance of these funders for the significance of their contribution. Treat your funders as you would Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsors - based on levels of funding or in-kind support provided.
ACKNOWLEDGE IN SPEECHES & GREETINGS
Acknowledge SaskCulture and Saskatchewan Lotteries as funders of your activities or organization during public addresses at your events/activities, including media conferences.
ENSURE SASKCULTURE IS AWARE OF YOUR EVENTS
It is your responsibility to ensure SaskCulture is aware of your funded events. Send a copy of your news releases, public service announcements or invitations for your funded activity to SaskCulture prior to your event.

Send copies to SaskCulture's main email at saskculture.info@saskculture.sk.ca.
- INVITATIONS
Send all invitations for SaskCulture Board and Staff directly to SaskCulture. SaskCulture will coordinate getting information out and who will attend. It is up to your organization to determine whether or not to provide complementary passes, tickets, registrations. (It is not an obligation of funding).
- EVENTS LISTING
Promote your events on SaskCulture's Events Listing at www.saskculture.sk.ca or the SaskEvents at www.eventsask.com.
ENSURE YOUR BOARD IS AWARE OF SASKCULTURE
If SaskCulture/Saskatchewan Lotteries is one of your major funders, it is important that your volunteer board members are aware of this relationship. Each board member should know.
PROVIDE EVIDENCE OF RECOGNITION
Funded groups should be prepared to provide evidence, either through their follow-ups, or during in-person consultations, to show evidence that they are meeting the Recognition/Attribution requirements. These attribution requirements are expected as part of the funding agreement.
Failure to provide required recognition will be noted and may impact future funding eligibility.

USE OTHER PROMOTION WHEN POSSIBLE
SaskCulture helps create a voice for culture in the province, speaking up for increased funding, enhanced awareness and understanding, and stronger partnerships that benefit the cultural community as a whole. Any extra promotion adds to building a culturally vibrant Saskatchewan!
- ADVERTISEMENTS
Place Saskatchewan Lotteries, Culture Days, Culture Builds Community! or SaskCulture Funding Program advertisements in your publication or on your website for free when possible. Samples are available at www.saskculture.sk.ca.
- SOCIAL MEDIA
Reference the support provided by SaskCulture/Saskatchewan Lotteries programs and services in your Facebook or Twitter postings.
- PLAQUES & CULTURAL PRODUCTS
Acknowledge SaskCulture/Saskatchewan Lotteries on plaques attached to mural projects, any permanent structure or public art that lists funding sponsors. If a cultural product, such as a book, manual or CD/DVD is created, include the logos in a sponsorship area.
- PROMOTE SASKATCHEWAN LOTTERIES TICKET SALES
Use Saskatchewan Lottery tickets as promotional items at your next event. Arrangements can be made to purchase multiple tickets with vendors. Include Saskatchewan Lotteries promotion in your event materials, speeches or advertising. Consider Saskatchewan Lotteries folders, if available.
